Tarot Card Meanings : II The High Priestess

Keywords: Mystery, wisdom, unseen influences, intuition, divine.
The High Priestess is the keeper of all the universe’s vast secrets and truths. She is an agent of change, beckoning you to dig deeper into the subconscious realm. She doesn’t give this information easily, it is up to you to seek and dig deep. Religious symbols are prominent in this card. Her triple moon crown, cross on her chest, the Tora in her hands, and the pomegranate (the myth of Persephone), and the black and white pillars (Temple of Soloman). The black “B” pillar stands for Boaz (”in him is strength”), and the “J” is for Jachin (”God establishes/founds”). The duality between black and white signifies the balance between dark and light or good and evil. This is a card I recommend studying deeper, as the card itself beckons you to do. I believe that when this card appears, a big spiritual shift is about to happen. If you don’t find the balance and look at all aspects of the spiritual realms and self closely, your answers will be superficial.
Reversed: Reality is being twisted, not listening to your intuition.
Planet: The Moon
Element: Water
“Now here I go again, I see the crystal visions. I keep my visions to myself”–Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac
